DIY: turban

turban's were pretty big last winter and they caught on to the 'blogging world' like a moth to a flame. i didnt understand why at first, i wasnt going to spend 20 odd pounds on a piece of material for my head, and i was at the awkward short/shoulder length hair stage when i would've looked really stupid unless i spend an hour infront of the mirror perfecting it. but when i was browsing charity shops the other afternoon and noticed this scarf in the window i had to grap it, especially for £1.50. i had a rough idea in my head of how to DIY it, so i gave it a go and it actually turned out okay! i love the bright colours of the scarf and they're perfect for summer. i thought i'd give you a little step-by-step tutorial type thing for any bargain hunters out there like me, who want to be on trend but still on budget.

step one: wrap the scarf around the back of your head, making sure both sides are even

step two: cross over the sides, making sure the scarf is still secure on your head

step three: loop the sides over eachother, this bit's hard to explain but the photo is clearer

step four: bring the sides round to the back of your head

step five: secure in a knot

and there you have it, a simple, easy-to-do turban that costs £1.50 :)

  2. ah it looks really pretty on you but my hair is just that tiny bit shorter where anything that I try and put on my head lifts it and makes it look like a big birds nesty bob. Sighs a plenty
